This policy applies to products, parts, repairs, diagnostics, labour, IT support, software, digital services, data recovery, hosting, telecommunications, and other services supplied by NIKO Computers Pty Ltd.
This policy works together with the customer’s rights under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights the customer may have under Australian Consumer Law.
No refund, replacement, return, exchange, or warranty claim will be approved until the item or service has been reviewed, inspected, or assessed by NIKO Computers.
Items may be returned only if approved by NIKO Computers and if the item is:
Returns outside 7 days may be refused unless required by Australian Consumer Law or approved by NIKO Computers in writing.
Change-of-mind returns or wrong-item returns are accepted at NIKO Computers’ discretion only.
If approved, the item must be unused, undamaged, complete, and in original packaging.
NIKO Computers may deduct or charge:
Special-order parts, customer-requested parts, custom-built computers, opened software, activated licences, subscriptions, and digital services are non-refundable unless required by Australian Consumer Law.
The following are not refundable once supplied, opened, activated, ordered, provisioned, or started, unless required by Australian Consumer Law:
Diagnostic fees and inspection fees are payable before assessment unless otherwise agreed.
Diagnostic fees cover the initial inspection, testing, fault assessment, and preparation of a repair quotation. A diagnostic fee does not guarantee that the device is repairable.
Repair labour, parts, software, data recovery, liquid damage work, board-level work, and advanced testing are quoted separately.
No repair work will proceed without customer approval.
Once diagnostic, labour, repair, remote, on-site, or support work has started, the related service charges are non-refundable.
NIKO Computers provides a 3-month workmanship warranty on completed electronic repairs and computer repairs, unless otherwise stated on the invoice.
This warranty applies only to the specific fault repaired by NIKO Computers.
If the same fault returns within the 3-month repair warranty period, NIKO Computers will inspect the device and, where the issue is covered, repair the same fault again at no labour charge.
The repair warranty does not cover:
Parts may have a separate supplier or manufacturer warranty depending on the part type.
If a product is faulty and the fault is not caused by customer damage, misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised repair, liquid damage, physical damage, power surge, tampering, or normal wear and tear, the customer may be entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law.
Depending on the fault and product type, NIKO Computers may provide a repair, replacement, store credit, or refund.
NIKO Computers will normally assess repair or replacement first. A refund may be offered where replacement stock is unavailable, repair is not practical, or where required by Australian Consumer Law.
The customer may be required to return the item for inspection and testing before any warranty claim is approved.
Data recovery is not guaranteed.
NIKO Computers will make reasonable professional attempts to recover data, but recovery depends on the condition of the storage device, the type of fault, encryption, previous recovery attempts, overwrite damage, physical damage, and other technical factors.
Diagnostic, assessment, imaging, cloning, labour, and recovery-attempt charges are non-refundable once work has started.
Recovered data must be checked by the customer as soon as possible. After the agreed retention period, NIKO Computers may securely delete recovered data from our systems.
NIKO Computers is not responsible for data loss where the customer has not maintained proper backups.
Before returning any item, the customer must contact NIKO Computers and request approval.
Please provide:
If the return is approved, NIKO Computers may issue return instructions or a Return Authorisation number.
Items returned without approval may be refused.
The customer is responsible for return shipping, courier, transport, parking, and handling costs unless otherwise agreed or required by Australian Consumer Law.
Returned items must be packed safely and securely. NIKO Computers is not responsible for damage caused during transport due to poor packaging.
For high-value items, the customer should use a trackable and insured delivery service.
Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable unless required by Australian Consumer Law.
Once the returned item is received and inspected, NIKO Computers will advise whether the refund, replacement, exchange, or warranty claim is approved or declined.
If approved, refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method.
Please allow 5–7 business days for the refund to appear, depending on the bank or payment provider.
If the return is declined, the item may be returned to the customer, and no refund will be issued.
All products with serial numbers must match the original purchase, repair, or invoice records.
NIKO Computers may refuse a refund, replacement, return, or warranty claim if the item appears to be tampered with, altered, swapped, damaged, modified, or fraudulently returned.
NIKO Computers reserves the right to verify the legitimacy of payments and may cancel any order suspected of fraud, scam activity, or unauthorised payment.
Customers who show a repeated pattern of excessive or suspicious returns may be subject to additional review.
